Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she moved to Dix Hills on Long Island shortly before finishing her junior year. There are two of her younger siblings and an older brother. The modeling profession was her first experience within the business. She did it from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she was studying the acting of Sanford Meisner techniques for approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors that have undergone this type of training. Following her move to Los Angeles, she got her first lead role in Beverly Hills, 90210. The role was as the leading lady in Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt herself, and established her skills as an actress.
