Ford disappeared from the music scene for several months after the albums failed to garner much acclaim. Her smashing album, 'Lita" was released in 1988 and saw her come back with a bang. Kiss Me Deadly and Close My Eyes Forever, both of which were huge hits and are just two of the examples. However, her success didn't last long, as she disappeared for several years. Her 'Black" album debuted in 1995. Her 'Wicked Wonderland" released almost fifteen years after. Her latest album, Time Capsule was released in the year 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
